A comment in unthaw references Ludicrous-- "Brilliant. Thank you for putting 'correct' definition on the web. What are all the other dictionaries doing listing it as a synonym for 'thaw'. It is Ludicrous. If people misuse a word to this extent it should not be encouraged."
